If you are as crazy about music as I am, and willing to discover new pieces..

Music is such an un-intrusive, yet intensely emotional part of our lives.

  1. Unlike visual arts, you can do other things (like work!) while listening to music
  2. Thanks to technology, you can take music anywhere with you on your iPod
  3. Music moves you in its entirety:
    1. Beats move your body;
    2. Harmony moves your senses / mood; and
    3. Lyrics move your soul / mind / emotions
Especially for me, who has had 80-100 hr/wk finance jobs for the past 5 yrs with little time to enjoy myself, Music has always been there for me, keeping me awake / motivated / happy at 3am cranking in the office, while my friends are living it up as a twenty-something girls in the greatest city in the world.

So it's no surprise that the greatest compliment one can give me, is when you say "you have a great taste in music". So when my co-worker Laura (she has the most beautiful eyes btw) said she liked a piece of music I posted on my Google Talk profile, I immediately made a playlist for her, and thought maybe I share it with others here.

Fun Ones To Dance To:

- (Currently on Repeat on my iPhone) Poker Face – Lady Gaga (Jody Den Broeder Remix) Don’t like the original – Jody DB did an amazing job remixing!

- Pjanoo - Eric Prydz:

- No Stress - Laurent Wolf

- Let Me Think About It - Ida Corr & Fedde Le Grand

- Turn It Up – Paris Hilton (Paul Oakenfold Remix). I don’t like the original – you really need the remix by Paul O. that makes a huge difference.

All Time Classic:

Gangstar Rap (I love the songs by Notorious BIG and Tupac – I think they have the best voices, and they have so much soul / emotions / spirit in their lyrics, etc. After they died, that’s probably when I stopped listening to hiphop.)

- LL Cool J – Loungin’ (Who Do Ya Luv)

- The Notorious BIG – Juicy

- Tupac – Dear Mama

- Tupac – Do for Love

Good Sounds & Beats:

- 4am - Kaskade (Adam K & Soha Remix)

- Illusion - Benny Benassi

- Reflect - Maor Levi

- Beautiful Things - Tiesto feat. Andain (This is the first trance song I heard at my friend's place, which really got me into it)

- Angel on My Shoulder – Kaskade

- The One – Sharam

Good, Sentimental, Emotional House Tunes

- Back Together - Hardsoul ft. Ron Carroll

- How Do I Let Go - Dennis Ferrer
